Deck and Safety Operations Manager

About the Role
Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a highly skilled Deck and Safety Superintendent to join its team. As a key member of the maritime fleet technical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal maintenance and upgrade of ships, while guaranteeing cost-effective solutions and leading audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute deck and safety operations, including daily activities, maintenance, improvements, and technical modifications for assigned ships.
- Manage and oversee deck and safety budgets, including spare parts and services management.
- Prepare and support for audits and inspections, and participate in onboard audits.
- Follow up on findings in liaison with Cruise Governance/Audit Management and document findings in the Global HESS-MS platform.
- Support Cruise Governance and the DPA as a subject matter expert.
- Participate in regular HESS/Safety meetings with HESS SI Environment, HESS SI USPH, Nautical & Safety SI under the guidance of the Head of Safety and/or DPA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and minimum 3 years of professional experience in shipboard operations, preferably in the maritime sector.
- IMO license is mandatory.
- Leadership experience as Staff Captain or Safety Officer is desirable.
- Safety-driven and having a cooperative attitude.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Very good command of the English language (English is our Company's official language).
