About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems, including our API, database, and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on Java, Kotlin, or other JVM languages
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices
  • Experience with microservices architecture, API design, and database management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
