About the Role

As a Director Business Analytics, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and document business requirements related to data analytics and reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using Azure Synapse and Azure Fabric technologies to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the Azure data platform for analytical purposes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and manage data pipelines to automate data workflows and improve data accessibility.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that drive business decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough data validation and quality checks to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data used in reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot data-related issues and optimize data storage and retrieval processes in Azure Synapse and Azure Fabric.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and cloud technologies.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Assist in training team members and end-users on data visualization tools and self-service analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure Data Analytics technologies for data modelling, reporting, and analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and querying from various data sources.
  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar, to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
  • Familiar with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Business Central and SAP.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Working in line with current company cGMP procedures including all relevant SOP's and guidelines.
  • Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with appropriate EHS Procedures.
  • Programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and applications for predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices.
