Stationary Battery Storage Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team at The Mobility House. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for managing the development of stationary battery storage projects from site selection to handover to the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with various stakeholders, including landowners, contractors, and vendors.
- Manage the permitting process for building permits and grid connections, including the preparation and submission of permit applications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assess site conditions, environmental impact, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate and manage external stakeholders, including EPC contractors, landowners, and government agencies.
- Ensure timely and cost-sensitive delivery of tasks and milestones while meeting technical requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and legal departments.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across all parties involved in the project.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, plans, and presentations.
- Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced project manager with a strong background in energy storage or a related field. You should have a proven track record in managing energy storage or similar infrastructure projects and in-depth knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance in the energy sector.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in project development/management, preferably in the energy or renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in managing energy storage or similar infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance in the energy sector.
- Solid understanding of stationary energy storage systems and related technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess site feasibility and project risks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Willingness to travel as needed to project sites and meetings.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- German and English language skills on Level C1.
