Technical Engineer for Optical Solutions

Join Phaseform, a trailblazer in the optics sector, as a Development Engineer (m/f/d). Key Responsibilities- Design and develop production tools for our latest adaptive optics product line;
- Collaborate on technology development projects with the IMTEK at the University of Freiburg;
- Explore market potentials, facilitate product launches, and provide support to initial customers.
- Master's or PhD in engineering or a related discipline, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, especially in mechanical, optomechanical, or electronics engineering, or a comparable mix of education and experience;
- Experience in technical product development and the introduction of new products;
- Familiarity with the development of production systems, manufacturing automation, and robotics;
- Proficient in production tooling UX/UI programming;
- Strong command of English and eligibility to work in Germany are essential.
Additionally, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience in material sciences or optofluidics;
- Knowledge of production outsourcing;
- Experience in clean-room environments and microfabrication;
- Understanding of adaptive optics;
- Background in product management;
- Experience in entrepreneurial ventures or startups.
