The profession of a stone mason is one of the oldest in history, with a rich heritage of craftsmanship and expertise. As a stone mason and stonemason sculptor, you will be involved in the restoration, reconstruction, and construction of buildings and monuments, utilizing your skills in working with natural stones and stone surfaces by hand and with the help of machines.
Training and QualificationsThe training program for a stone mason and stonemason sculptor is a 3-year dual training program that combines practical experience at our training facility in Bamberg with theoretical classes at a vocational school in Wunsiedel and additional training at an inter-company training center. Upon completion of the training, you will be awarded a recognized qualification - the journeyman's examination - before the Chamber of Crafts.

Application and Internship OpportunitiesWe offer the opportunity for an internship at our workshop in Bamberg for students or volunteers interested in the profession of stone masonry and stonemason sculptor. Interns will gain insights into the work of a stone mason and will have the opportunity to work with stones by hand. Our workshop team is available to explain and provide support throughout the internship.
