As a Procurement Planning Specialist at GLOVIS Europe GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's procurement strategy and ensuring alignment with global procurement policy. Your responsibilities will encompass managing procurement processes, selecting and monitoring supplier risks, and conducting market research to analyze the European logistics market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop and implement procurement processes aligned with the global procurement strategy and policy.
  • Manage and monitor supplier risks, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct market research and analyze information on the European logistics market to inform procurement decisions.
New Business Support
  • Assist with logistics and forwarding procurement tenders, ensuring seamless integration with the company's global procurement strategy.
  • Support the establishment of new business logistics networks, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Search for and analyze information on new truckers and forwarders, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
GPMS Management
  • Develop, administer, and maintain the GPMS system, ensuring efficient procurement processes and data management.
  • Structure and manage vendor sourcing groups, optimizing procurement strategies and reducing costs.
  • Support vendor management and evaluation processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Manage procurement status and progress for regional subsidiaries, providing timely and accurate updates.
  • Review and manage procurement data input/output, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Train and encourage employees and suppliers to use the system, promoting a culture of procurement excellence.
Support and Management
  • Handle procurement issues and manage procurement risks, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
  • Search for and analyze information on new truckers and forwarders, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
