Position Overview
Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee the EU Deforestation initiative. This environmental protection policy mandates that manufacturers, producers, and distributors are accountable for their products and packaging during production. The regulation aims to mitigate global deforestation and forest degradation driven by EU consumption and production.

Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will be integral to a team ensuring Amazon's adherence to new regulations by:
  • Designing, developing, and executing compliance measures in collaboration with various departments including Retail, Legal, and Public Policy.
  • Coordinating efforts across multiple business units to facilitate environmental compliance processes.
  • Conducting environmental compliance analyses and establishing metrics to monitor progress.
  • Guiding business teams in the implementation of Amazon's EU Deforestation programs.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Exceptional communication skills and operational business acumen.
  • A proven track record in program management, particularly in technical domains.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.

Daily Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Develop project plans and change management documentation for new compliance programs.
