Accountant Intercompany Reconciliation Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant Intercompany Reconciliation Specialist to join our team at BASF Services Europe GmbH. As a key member of our Accounts Receivable department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate financial results for the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor and maintain customer accounts, analyzing overdues and providing assistance to the team with complex cases.
  • Support regional and global projects from an Intercompany perspective, acting as a liaison with the global Intercompany community.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements within the team and across departments, leveraging tools such as Power BI, RPA, and Tableau.
  • Assist with the Intercompany consolidation process, participating in Year End Audit, external audit, and local finance activities.
  • Develop and maintain reports, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree in economics, accounting, business, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in Accounting and/or Accounts Receivable.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional German language skills a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SAP R/3, particularly with module FI.
  • Highly organized, structured, and able to solve complex problems with attention to detail.
