About the Role

Coders Connect is partnering with a global leader in sustainable and digital packaging solutions to find a talented Data Engineering Specialist. This role involves designing and deploying scalable Azure-based data solutions, crafting sophisticated data models, and developing robust data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy Azure-based data solutions to drive integration and innovation across the organisation.
  • Craft sophisticated data models and develop robust data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Manage data storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake and SQL Database, to ensure top-notch data warehousing with Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Implement stringent data security measures and optimise system performance.
  • Mentor a team of data engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, document best practices, and conduct training sessions to promote continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks like Apache Spark.
  • Experience with data security, governance, and compliance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in data engineering, with at least 3 years focusing on Azure data services.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.

Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.

Desired Skills: Experience with DevOps practices, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub).
