Software Product Manager Job Description

We are Safran Passenger Innovations, a leading innovator in wireless connectivity solutions for aircraft passengers. As a Software Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations for product management of connectivity software throughout its lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Execute product management tasks in accordance with Safran's PROMPT process
  • Define software products for inflight connectivity, roadmaps, and features
  • Develop product briefs, use cases, high-level requirements, and acceptance criteria for connectivity software products
  • Coordinate with cross-functional project teams to ensure compatibility between system-wide software functions and hardware requirements
  • Manage dependencies between software modules and external suppliers
  • Assess technological evolutions, feature upgrades, security patches, and change requests for software products
  • Support export classifications for software products
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Product Management or Product Development
  • Strong working knowledge of networking protocols, Virtual Machines, and Cloud environments
  • Experience with Project and Product Management tools, such as JIRA and MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, organized, and a team player mindset
