About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain professional to join our team at Hach. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of our logistics process, from procurement to distribution.

Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing logistics and distribution strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and meet company objectives. You will oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation and distribution, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement logistics and distribution strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and meet company objectives.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation and distribution.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to identify and implement technology solutions to streamline logistics operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in logistics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Train, educate, and mentor junior logistics coordinators to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of international logistics and supply chain concepts, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, 3PL, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and technology, such as TMS, WMS, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Ability to travel within the German-speaking area of Europe and occasionally to Canada.
