Electronics Technician for Automation Technology

**About the Training**

We offer a comprehensive training program in automation technology, focusing on electronics and electrical systems. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of complex industrial plants.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of measuring, control, and regulation devices on electric production systems and process control systems
  • Measurement of physical quantities such as pressure, temperature, and flow, as well as electrical quantities such as currents and voltages
  • Maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems
  • Creation and expansion of control programs and programming of automated systems
  • Installation and initialization of operating systems, bus systems, and network technology
  • Optimization and troubleshooting in ongoing production processes
  • Organization of work processes and implementation of projects in the field of electrical and automation technology

**Theoretical Training**

  • You will receive a solid foundation of knowledge in subject-specific and general education subjects at the Hans-Böckler Vocational College in Marl.

**Training Details**

  • Training duration: 3.5 years
  • Training locations: Herne, Witten, and Marl Chemical Park

**Requirements**

  • Intermediate Secondary School Leaving Certificate or higher school diploma
  • Passion for innovative technologies and technical-physical understanding
  • Accuracy, manual dexterity, and finger dexterity
  • Good, solid mathematical knowledge of secondary level I
  • Enjoyment of working with digital systems and applications
  • Logical thinking, diligence, ability to concentrate, and sense of responsibility
  • Commitment and desire for teamwork
