Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and driving litigation and pre-litigation matters, advising management stakeholders on litigation strategy and risks, and developing creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive strategy for litigation and pre-litigation matters on regulatory, consumer affairs, platform regulations, content-related matters, and commercial/contractual issues.
  • Advise management stakeholders on litigation strategy and risks.
  • Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes.
  • Work with and coordinate outsourced legal counsels in all jurisdictions.
  • Work closely with business teams to identify and address relevant legal risks.
  • Build processes with operational teams to facilitate legal compliance across the company.
  • Be the legal point of contact for the sustainability team.

Requirements

  • Qualification in one bar association.
  • A lawyer with 7+ years of experience in a law firm and/or as an in-house counsel in litigation (commercial, platform, and consumer-related).
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing high-stakes, complex litigation.
  • Experience dealing with authorities (requests for information, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Platform-related litigation experience is a strong plus.
  • The skills, willingness, and initiative to own legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proactivity and attention to detail.
  • Passion for technology-driven businesses.
