Job Title: Freelance Functional Consultant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Migration

Location: Remote

Contract Type: Freelance

Duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Freelance Functional Consultant to oversee the transition from the existing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 system to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Dynamics 365 F&O, exceptional analytical capabilities, and a history of successfully managing similar migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Engage with project stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create comprehensive project plans and timelines to steer the migration process.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project tasks.

Requirement Analysis:

  • Perform in-depth evaluations of current business processes and workflows in AX 2012.
  • Collect and document business requirements, aligning them with Dynamics 365 F&O functionalities.
  • Identify discrepancies and propose solutions to improve business processes after migration.

Solution Design and Configuration:

  • Design and configure Dynamics 365 F&O solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support customizations, integrations, and data migrations.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop testing plans and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm system functionality.
  • Identify, document, and resolve issues during the testing phase to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance adoption and proficiency.

Change Management and Support:

  • Formulate and implement change management strategies to promote user adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting throughout the migration process.
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation and training materials to facilitate long-term system use.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and executing AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 F&O migration projects.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O modules, including Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
  • Experience with data migration tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and related tools for project management and collaboration.

Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in a freelance or consulting role.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific processes and compliance standards.
