Role Overview: We are on the lookout for a Senior Procurement Specialist - Metals with a strong background in sourcing copper, aluminum, and bronze for automotive applications. This position demands extensive experience in automotive procurement along with a comprehensive understanding of the metals marketplace. The ideal candidate will possess fluency in German (C1 level) and will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee effective material sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement procurement strategies for copper, aluminum, and bronze, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure advantageous terms and conditions.
  • Work in partnership with internal departments, including engineering and production, to ascertain material needs and specifications.
  • Perform market analysis to track trends, pricing, and availability of metals.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and address risks within the supply chain.
  • Provide reports on procurement performance, highlighting cost savings and supplier quality metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory proficiency in German (C1 level).
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive procurement, specifically in sourcing metals such as copper, aluminum, and bronze.
  • Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
