Cloud Network Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Responsibilities and Team

As a member of the IT Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of our comprehensive Cloud and on-premises network.
Our IT team empowers our business with adaptable, scalable, and secure IT solutions, encompassing all areas from Digital Workplace, Identity and Access Management, Connectivity, Cloud platform engineering, to highly secure, high-performance data center services.

Your Daily Tasks
  • Manage, implement, and sustain network infrastructure for a hybrid, multi-cloud setup
  • Deliver projects ensuring our Network infrastructure is effective, well-maintained, and adheres to industry best practices, facilitating the transition to cloud services
  • Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Azure (or AWS) and comparable cloud services, along with experience in designing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying solutions specifically at the network layer
  • Show comprehensive knowledge of networking and its various vendors & technologies such as Palo Alto, Aruba, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewalls, SDWAN, Load Balancers, Routing & Switching
  • Develop network services utilizing infrastructure as code to automate the deployment of cloud network components
  • Conduct feasibility studies, IT concepts, market research, and vendor assessments
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams on infrastructure or application security compliance
  • Ensure the availability of the company network and cloud network through proactive monitoring and alerting
  • Hold operational responsibility for our Connectivity network infrastructure
  • Create all necessary operational documentation for the network infrastructure
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science, or completed apprenticeship with relevant professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration
  • Knowledge and experience with network operating systems such as Aruba OS-CX and/or Cisco IOS
  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto Suite and Aviatrix
  • Familiarity with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS and/or OSPF, IPSec, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and other network services
  • Experience with OT architectures & Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployment is essential
  • Experience using Jira & Confluence is advantageous.
  • Proven experience with public cloud providers (e.g., Azure and AWS) is highly valued
  • Strong automation experience with hands-on scripting/programming is highly regarded
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DHCP, NAT is beneficial
  • Significant experience with ITIL framework and ITSM is highly valued
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to embrace new and unfamiliar IT technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong motivation to contribute to the development of the organization, structures, and processes
  • Fluent English language skills are essential; additional languages are a plus
