Appian Test Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Test Engineer to join our team at Coforge. As a key member of our testing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Appian solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project initiation and understand requirements to prepare and assist in test estimation and formulate test strategies or test plans.
  • Coordinate and manage test schedules, and work with the project manager to ensure the test environment is set up and ready for execution.
  • Conduct reviews and inspections of test deliverables and provide feedback to the team.
  • Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure, and produce test metrics and test reports to be shared with stakeholders.
  • Implement creative and innovative ways of testing to meet project goals without compromising quality and proactively identify potential delivery-related issues and arrive at mitigation plans.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback in refining testing practices and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with teams involved and provide support to all interfacing applications or systems impacted for the project.
  • Ensure constructive working relationships within the team and with other functional groups and compliance to laid-down organization-wide processes and operations guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of functional system testing and UAT.
  • Experience in Selenium and BDD framework along with Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of API tools like Soap UI, Postman, REST, etc.
  • Strong exposure to SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins, GitHub, and the ability to implement the same as per Enterprise Technology Strategy in all projects.
  • Understanding of test management tools, JIRA, ALM, and Confluence.
  • Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, bottlenecks, and design workload models.
  • Excellent multitasking ability and the ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time, and competing priorities, and drive results through partner organizations.
