Data Analyst Internship: Scenario Coverage and Digitalization of Railway Operations

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled data analyst to join our team at DB InfraGO AG in Berlin. As a data analyst intern, you will play a key role in the development of systems for the digitalization of railway operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will work in a team of software engineers, data scientists, and researchers to develop and implement data-driven solutions for the digitalization of railway operations.
  • You will research, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms for the analysis of multimodal sensor data to improve the accuracy of train control systems.
  • You will analyze and evaluate the coverage of scenarios in test and validation data to ensure the reliability of our systems.
  • You will test and validate our systems using a combination of recorded data from our sensors (RGB and IR cameras, radar, and LiDAR point clouds) and public datasets and benchmarks.

Your Profile:

  • You are currently studying computer science or a related field with a focus on machine learning, artificial intelligence, or computer vision.
  • You are eager to learn and take on new challenges, and you are willing to commit to a six-month internship with our team.
  • You have a strong background in machine learning and computer vision, including experience with neural networks and popular libraries such as OpenCV and TensorFlow.
  • You are proficient in programming languages such as Python and C++, and you have experience with version control systems like Git.
  • You have practical experience with popular machine learning frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow and PyTorch.
