The Team:
Within the Engineering division, the Product Analytics & Data Sciences team plays a crucial role in delivering analytical support and strategic insights to product and engineering teams. Our objective is to empower these teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. We achieve this by gathering, organizing, and interpreting data related to user experiences, product metrics, incidents, resource utilization, sales strategies, and more. Our work transforms raw data into valuable analytical assets through exploratory analysis, outlier detection, hypothesis validation, statistical modeling, risk quantification, and effective communication of findings through compelling narratives and actionable recommendations.
The Role: As an Intern/Working Student in the Product Analytics & Data Sciences team, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing data to support decision-making in a rapidly evolving environment. You will collaborate closely with engineers and product team members to identify business challenges and assist in developing data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis and deliver insights primarily to product and engineering teams.
- Present analytical results in a clear and engaging manner to stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop visualizations and written reports to effectively convey quantitative insights and foster discussions grounded in data.
- Utilize statistical analysis, modeling, and machine learning techniques on various product and business datasets to enhance resource efficiency, feature improvements, and product adoption.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish data pipelines.
- Actively engage in refining data engineering processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Statistics and/or Data Science.
- Seeking an internship focused on Product Analytics Engineering or Data Science, working alongside product, engineering, or growth teams.
- Basic proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, and Pandas for data extraction, visualization, and analysis.
- Developing knowledge of statistical techniques and machine learning concepts.
- Eager to gain experience with large datasets and predictive modeling.
- Goal-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a keen attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a growing organization, collaborating with diverse international teams.
- Availability for full-time commitment during the initial three months (internship) and 20 hours per week in subsequent months (working student).
