Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Communications Manager with a strong background in electrical and technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various disciplines, including:
- Electrical Systems: Knowledge of power distribution, emergency systems, and lighting solutions.
- Electronic Security: Proficiency in access control, CCTV, perimeter security, and information assurance.
- Telecommunications: Experience with ISP/OSP infrastructure, wireless technologies, DAS, and RF systems.
- Audio-Visual Systems: Familiarity with design and implementation of AV solutions.
The successful candidate will lead teams through pre-construction cost estimation, surveys, design, construction, and commissioning phases within an IDIQ framework. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with at least 5 years in project management overseeing budgets, schedules, and deliverables. The remaining experience should encompass design, construction, and implementation phases, including testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple task orders valued between $500K and $10M, leading a diverse team of 20-30 personnel and specialty trade partners.
- Oversee design-build task orders ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and design efficiency.
- Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks.
- Develop project schedules to allocate sufficient time for completion.
- Collaborate with construction superintendents to formulate installation execution plans.
- Direct activities related to upgrades and renovations in operational environments, ensuring adherence to design, installation, testing, and startup protocols.
- Interpret and clarify plans and contract terms for staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate modifications to contracts with customers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure positive cash flow and profitability.
- Inspect projects for compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management with a focus on technology applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to relocate as necessary for project requirements.
- US Citizenship with the capability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving business, technical, and construction challenges. The candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to manage complex projects and foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
