Your Role:
As the Lead Concept Artist, you will be instrumental in defining the visual identity of our projects. You will lead a talented group of artists, ensuring that our artistic vision not only meets but surpasses the expectations of gamers globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Art Direction: Establish and uphold the artistic vision and style for our games, creating compelling concept art for characters, environments, and essential visual elements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of concept artists, fostering a creative and collaborative atmosphere while setting high artistic standards.
- Concept Development: Transform ideas into striking visual concepts, producing initial sketches and iterating designs to align with gameplay and narrative requirements.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with 3D artists, animators, and designers to ensure a cohesive visual narrative across all departments.
- Project Oversight: Manage concept art tasks, collaborating with project managers to meet timelines and efficiently allocate resources.
- Quality Assurance: Review and finalize concept art, ensuring it adheres to the established style guide and contributes to promotional materials.
Your Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years in a senior concept artist role within the gaming sector, including leadership experience.
- Portfolio: Proven track record of contributing to released games.
- Artistic Skills: Exceptional abilities in composition, color theory, and mood creation for digital art.
- Software Knowledge: Proficient in industry-standard tools such as Photoshop.
- Creativity: Strong problem-solving skills and a diverse range of artistic ideas.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to various art styles and genres as required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills with a strong command of English.
Additional Skills:
- 3D Software: Familiarity with tools like Blender, 3DSMax, MAYA, or ZBrush.
- Game Engines: Understanding of Unreal Engine.
- Passion for Gaming: A genuine enthusiasm for video games and insight into player experiences.
