Consultant for Claims Service Management and Controlling in the Insurance Sector

Responsibilities
- In this position, you will design and develop principles for effective collaboration among service subsidiaries and contractual partners in claims processing (including property, liability, and technical insurance).
- You will work closely with subject matter experts to identify various approaches and operational fields for claims service providers in the insurance sector and independently negotiate service provider agreements.
- As the primary contact for claims service providers, you will conduct annual discussions with them and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- You will proactively coordinate tailored optimization measures with relevant stakeholders and diligently monitor their implementation.
- Your expertise will also be crucial in reviewing service agreements and benefit calculations of service provider products.
- Independently, you will develop concepts and decision-making documents related to the management of service providers in the respective sectors.
- Additionally, you will oversee complaint management and address specifically identified service provider complaints.
- You will conduct market observations and analyze and evaluate individual service providers.
- Your role will involve supporting projects within the service provider environment, thereby shaping the future of the claims process.
- As needed, you will take on both temporary and permanent special tasks within your area of responsibility.
Profile / Requirements
- A successful degree with a focus on business administration, training as an insurance and finance clerk (m/f/d), ideally with further education as an insurance specialist (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification.
- Initial professional experience in service provider management (including non-insurance sectors) or knowledge in operational claims processing, ideally as an external claims adjuster or internal claims handler.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced in using PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with entrepreneurial foresight and a clear service orientation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a talent for organization, assertiveness, and a proactive, structured, and independent working style.
