We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team at Night Star Express in Castrop-Rauxel. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving and processing incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the loading and unloading of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the team lead
- Sort and organize inventory in a way that maximizes storage efficiency and minimizes waste
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring that all items are properly secured and accounted for
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in a warehouse or logistics setting a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on attention to detail and quality control
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software a plus
