Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Biorepository Technician to join our team in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monitoring of freezer units
- Manage the receipt of biological specimens
- Conduct inventory management of frozen biological samples
- Retrieve samples from the inventory as needed
- Perform annual competency evaluations for repository personnel
- Label vials and shipping containers accurately
- Coordinate preventative maintenance for repository equipment
- Stay updated on IATA shipping regulations and maintain necessary certifications
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Biorepository Technician role will demonstrate exceptional accuracy and quality in various laboratory tasks, particularly in the cryopreservation of biological samples received daily. Candidates should exhibit flexibility and teamwork, adapting quickly to the diverse needs of the repository. Relevant experience should include logistics within the clinical sector, familiarity with inventory systems, a biological sciences background, and proficiency in handling laboratory equipment.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Germany without requiring sponsorship and possess effective communication skills in English.
