Quality Assurance Specialist for Europe

Key Responsibilities:
- Translating certification standards into accessible business terminology to assist process leaders, particularly in Circular Economy & Sustainability (CE&S) and relevant stakeholders.
- Managing Documented Information, ensuring timely reviews of Level 1 and 2 documents to avoid reliance on outdated materials. Overseeing records control to maintain compliance with retention policies.
- Collaborating with process leaders to enhance operational efficiency by implementing necessary modifications. Proposing adjustments based on identified discrepancies, customer expectations, and performance metrics.
- Facilitating change management for all process alterations that may affect certifications.
- Addressing local requests for new initiatives and requirements to achieve objectives by guiding the development of pertinent processes and documentation.
- Promoting standardization and simplification of Quality and certification criteria across regional sites while acknowledging necessary variations.
- Acting as a representative and advocate for Global Quality within the region.
- Coordinating essential activities mandated by certifications, including: Advising process leaders to ensure availability of necessary information for management evaluations. Supervising the nonconformance process to ensure effective resolution and prevent recurrence by managing root cause analysis related to Quality issues.
- Delivering training sessions for both industrial and non-industrial teams on certification standards and quality protocols.
- Engaging in onboarding processes to introduce Quality and certification expectations.
- Providing local oversight for Braskem's Global Management System, Intelius, by: Upholding adherence to the Quality Pillar and General requirements. Contributing to the enhancement and revision of Quality Pillar documentation (directives, guidebooks, global standards, methods, tools, protocols, etc.) to ensure ongoing relevance in the local context. Collaborating with the Intelius Governance Team to participate in the internal audit process for Intelius to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Disseminating relevant quality information as outlined in the communication strategy, including: Preparing Monthly Quality Reports, Presenting Quality Assurance data at Plant Performance Meetings, Providing current metrics for the Global Quality Dashboard, and Communicating Quality Assurance accomplishments through internal platforms.
- Ensuring successful external certification audits by: Maintaining all certifications in the EU and Asia (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, Bonsucro, ISCC Plus, etc.) and serving as the primary contact for certification bodies to coordinate external audit scheduling.
- Leading and executing pertinent quality improvement initiatives utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
- Participating as a member of the local GmbH Energy Team to ensure successful ISO 50001 certification.
- Engaging in global initiatives as part of the Global Quality Assurance Team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Professional background in quality management.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 50001:2015, including familiarity with specific requirements and their practical application.
- Experience in trend analysis and problem-solving techniques (including core tools such as FMEA, RCA, and MOC).
- Proficient understanding of statistical methods.
- Project Management experience.
- Experience working within multicultural and multifunctional teams.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and SAP applications.
- Good command of the German language, both written and spoken.
- Conversational proficiency in English.
