Financial Controller

As a Bilanzbuchhalter (w/m/d), you'll play a critical role in supporting the preparation of financial statements for German holding companies and operating units. You'll work closely with other members of the accounting teams, internal and external auditors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities- Support the preparation of financial statements, including the coordination and planning of the financial statement audit process.
- Advise local controllers and department heads on taxation, pensions, restructuring, dividends, intercompany financing, and other related matters.
- Prepare regulatory filings for German companies.
- Assist in answering technical accounting questions and preparing accounting documents and guidelines for Germany.
- Support the International Tax Manager with annual tax calculations and tax audits for German companies.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and good knowledge of IFRS.
- 3-5 years' experience in controlling/accounting in an international environment.
- MA/BA degree in accountancy, economics, or finance.
- Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel literacy.
- Experience with large ERP systems, such as SAP or JDE.
- Native written and spoken German language skills, advanced command of written and spoken English, and any other European language is a bonus.
