Satellite AIT Functional Engineer

Job Overview

In the AIT division at CS GROUP, you will be entrusted with a variety of critical responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing functional tests for satellite AIT programs;
  • Reviewing and drafting comprehensive test specifications;
  • Collaborating with various engineering teams to facilitate RF testing;
  • Independently developing performance evaluation tests;
  • Defining, creating, and executing detailed test procedures;
  • Assisting in electrical integration tasks, including the preparation and analysis of test data for client evaluation;
  • Documenting test outcomes and composing detailed test reports;
  • Operating satellite instruments;
  • Creating and analyzing satellite configurations and associated documentation;
  • Conducting independent failure analysis (NCR investigations).

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering;
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in functional/electrical satellite AIT;
  • Experience in the encryption of satellite communication links is a plus;
  • Familiarity with TM/TC (PUS) protocols for satellites/instruments;
  • Understanding of ECSS standards;
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems, with JAVA expertise being advantageous;
  • Strong knowledge of signal generation and RF testing is essential;
  • Experience in satellite communication encryption is desirable;
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks;
  • Strong teamwork capabilities and effective communication skills;
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is beneficial.
