Quality Assurance Engineer

The Quality Assurance Engineer position offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong technical background in welded steel constructions, particularly in painted carbon steel and stainless steel. This role is primarily based at G+H Schallschutz GmbH, with responsibilities extending to various international workshops.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret and explain G+H drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to fabricators, ensuring clarity in requirements.
- Provide guidance on production scheduling to fabricators.
- Address technical inquiries from fabricators regarding drawings and designs.
- Evaluate the qualifications of fabricators, including WPS, PQR, and welder certifications.
- Review material certificates for compliance.
- Conduct inspections during fabrication, focusing on welding seams, dimensions, and painting quality.
- Perform final inspections and acceptance of fabricated goods at contractor workshops.
- Assess final quality documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Uphold strict adherence to all company EHS policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose enhancements to tools, systems, and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication environments.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards related to steel fabrication.
- Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic proficiency in German is advantageous.
