We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled student to work on a research project focused on GIS-based modeling and optimization of infrastructure for hydrogen (H2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) transportation. The project aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure requirements for H2 and CO2 transportation, including the identification of potential hubs and the development of a GIS-based analysis model.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct a thorough literature review on infrastructure and transportation options for H2 and CO2.
- Analyze the requirements for H2 and CO2 infrastructure, considering technical, economic, and environmental aspects.
- Research existing GIS tools and methods for route optimization.
- Develop a GIS-based analysis model for integrating and utilizing H2 and CO2 infrastructure.
- Implement an algorithm for route optimization, including the consideration of hubs and networks.
- Identify and evaluate potential hubs in specific regions for both H2 and CO2.
- Validate the model using case studies or simulation data.
- Document the results in a written report and present the findings.
- Enrolled student in the field of Engineering Informatics, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy, Supply, and Environmental Technology, or related fields.
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System) is an asset.
- Interest in planning and optimizing energy transport infrastructure.
