Laundry Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laundry Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our institutional laundry facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the laundry process, supervising inmate workers, and ensuring the efficient operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the institutional laundry operations, including supervising inmate workers and ensuring the efficient operation of the facility.
- Document work performed daily in the laundry and maintain accurate records.
- Research and respond to inmate complaints regarding the laundry operation.
- Write and revise laundry operating instructions as needed.
- Perform or direct maintenance services, including repairing and performing preventive maintenance on laundry equipment.
- Ensure tool and chemical control of items used in the laundry operation.
- Provide inventory management and budgetary input regarding current and projected expenditures for wages, supplies, equipment, and equipment repair/replacement associated with the laundry operation.
- Working knowledge of laundering methods.
- Basic knowledge of repairs and routine maintenance on equipment used in the laundry operation.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, pull, lift, reach, turn, climb stairs and ladders; hear, see, write, count, read, speak, interpret policies.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Knowledge of the methods of accountability.
- Problem solving ability.
- Ability to supervise other workers.
- Knowledge of building/equipment repairs.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, pull, lift, reach, turn, climb stairs and ladders; hear, see, write, count, read, speak, interpret policies; operate a motor vehicle and moving/motorized equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to use computer and operate both hand and power tools.
- Must have a good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
- Working knowledge of equipment repairs in order to be able to make minor repairs and perform routine maintenance on equipment used in the laundry operation.
- Demonstrated ability to plan work schedules and supervise the work others.
- Skill in Microsoft Office.
