Job Overview

METRO AG is a leading international food wholesaler, catering to the needs of hotels, restaurants, caterers, and independent merchants. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be part of our team responsible for coordinating sourcing and procurement processes. You will work closely with international suppliers to serve our MCC countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of procurement at METRO AG to serve MCC countries.
  • Analyze Category and supplier performances on different levels.
  • Contribute to the improvement of procurement processes and quality of our service.
  • Gain insights into various departments, including sourcing, procurement, data quality management, packaging, design, quality, own brand management, and supply chain.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Food Engineering, or Economics.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams applications.
  • Authentic, honest, curious, result-oriented, thinking big, diving deep, and proactive.
  • Strong interest in food/near food product development and good understanding of HoReCa customer needs.
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook (especially Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
