Job Title: Senior Technical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Assistant to join our Chemistry department at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine determinations of various ingredients using a wide range of methods within the framework of various breeding programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine determinations of various ingredients using HPLC, HPLC-MS, GC, and GC-MS methods
  • Develop and establish new measurement methods in the field of food ingredients, protein, and flavor analysis
  • Create, review, and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop, document, and carry out method validations
  • Prepare sample preparation protocols
  • Document analytical work in accordance with ISO 17025
  • Work in biochemical plants (S1 laboratory)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in chemistry, food chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields
  • Specializations in the areas of food and/or flavor and/or protein analysis are an advantage
  • Extended knowledge of modern chemical analysis in the field of chromatography
  • Experience in the field of genetic engineering (S1 project manager) desirable
  • Secure use of Microsoft Office programs and CDS (Chromatography Data System)
  • Ability to work in a team, independent, and structured way of working
  • Good knowledge of German and English
