System Administrator for Linux Environments (w/m/d)

This role is part of the IT consulting and service division of KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. You will work alongside your team to manage the IT infrastructure and assist various departments in deploying business software that enhances efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Responsibilities
Are you ready to leverage your expertise to advance KPMG's IT services? Here’s how you can contribute:

  • You will oversee the administration, maintenance, and complete lifecycle management of our Linux servers.
  • Additionally, you will assist in the evolution of our global Linux standards, focusing on technical implementation based on CIS recommendations.
  • You will independently manage (sub-)projects from the design phase through development to productive use.
  • Your support will extend to various organizational and operational areas.
Your Profile
  • To become a System Administrator for Linux Environments with us, you should have a background as an IT specialist in system integration, a degree in information technology, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of the Linux operating system is essential.
  • You should have prior experience in managing Linux systems within complex IT environments.
  • Moreover, a foundational knowledge of scripting languages and automation of recurring tasks and processes is beneficial.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., RHCSA / RHCE / LPIC / LFCS) are desirable but can also be acquired on the job.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in resolving complex issues are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English will complete your qualifications.
