The Solutions Engineering team serves as the product specialists who engage directly with customers. This team plays a crucial role in facilitating the global expansion of Grafana Labs by educating both potential and existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and success. We leverage our technical and product knowledge to assist customers through demonstrations, hands-on training, presentations, technical assessments, and continuous interaction. Collaborating closely with our Sales team, we help to qualify and finalize opportunities. The Solutions Engineering team acts as a vital communication channel between our customers and the Product Management and Engineering teams.
A Solutions Engineer excels at actively listening to prospects or clients, comprehending their needs, asking insightful questions to gather essential information, and translating that into tailored solutions utilizing Grafana Labs technology. They serve as the link between our highly skilled engineering teams, our clients, and our Sales department.
Your Contribution:
- Collaborate with our Sales team to convey the comprehensive Grafana value proposition, vision, and strategy to clients.
- Take ownership of the technical engagement with clients and assist in closing intricate opportunities through advanced competitive insights, technical expertise, and credibility.
- Present product and technical information to both potential and existing clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to relay feedback regarding our products and the competitive landscape.
- Initiate product discussions based on client needs and challenges.
- Work with the team to improve documentation, write blog posts, produce videos, contribute to knowledge base articles, and create various enablement materials.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate for This Role?
- Must reside in Germany.
- Fluent in German.
- Over 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, preferably with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring domain.
- Open to diverse and complex assignments, requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with our remote-first internal teams and global clients. Ability to articulate our value proposition and the technical benefits of our products effectively.
- A passion for solving technical challenges and a knack for delivering innovative solutions to clients.
- A technical mindset with a desire for continuous technical growth.
In Germany, the OTE compensation range for this role is €130,000 - €158,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as evaluated during the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonuses (if applicable), and other listed perks.
