About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Uniper team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our Short Term Trading Solutions department, you will play a crucial role in delivering large-scale transformational projects and small-scale business-as-usual items for Power and Gas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business teams in reviewing and optimizing business processes
  • Identify and engage with stakeholders to classify, document, and engineer requirements
  • Translate business requirements into IT and system requirements and user stories
  • Own small enhancements, ensuring solutions meet business needs
  • Lead and facilitate workshops with various levels of stakeholders across the organization
  • Point of contact for business to be consulted on requirements
  • Challenge requirements and provide alternative solution options (cost/benefit analysis)
  • Highlight ambiguities, contradictions, and impediments in collected business requirements to the business lead
  • Collect test cases from users and stakeholders and write them down
  • Coordinate testing process according to collected test cases by giving advice to PM and business leads on lead time for testing
  • Advice testers of the test cases and document results of testing process
  • Present testing results to PM and Business lead
  • Attend meetings: Weekly JF Meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, retros, and stand-up meetings as well as refinement sessions for backlogs
Requirements
  • Academic degree or equivalent professional qualification with at least 5 years of professional experience
  • Hands-on experience in a Business Analyst role, with direct involvement in large-sized IT implementation projects
  • Certification as Business Analyst like IIBA, CBAP
  • Experience in Commodity Logistics (Power and Gas), Dispatch, SCADA, Scheduling, Nomination is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team in combination with the strong desire to accept responsibility
  • Strong analytical and structured way of thinking, high organizational skills, and IT affinity with the ability to present complex topics targeted to the audience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in order to facilitate workshops and conflict resolutions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, proficiency in German or other languages is a plus
