Internal Communications Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Corporate Communications team in Central Europe as an intern. As a key member of our team, you will support the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies, working closely with colleagues in marketing and communications across our markets in Central Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of content, text, and visual designs for various communication formats, including townhall meetings, newsletters, mailings, and videos.
  • Collaborate on the development of creative concepts for BCG's internal communication, ensuring alignment with our company's brand and messaging.
  • Monitor the media landscape to identify opportunities to place BCG's content in the media and address current trends, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Support the Media Relations team with research, briefings, and the preparation of BCG studies for journalists working at key business media outlets in Germany.
  • Assist in the analysis and preparation of (media) reporting for in-house target groups, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in daily and weekly planning meetings, supporting the operational organization of the team, including database maintenance and subscription management.
Requirements
  • Enrolled as a student at a postsecondary educational institution or have completed a course of studies, ideally in business management, economics, politics, marketing, media and communications, journalism, or the humanities.
  • Passionate about communication and enjoy working creatively, with a strong interest in business topics and economic context.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience in journalism or communication a plus.
  • Proficient in the MS Office package, with familiarity with Salesforce or similar mailing programs and experience working with AI tools a plus.
  • Basic grasp of graphics and video software, with excellent German and English skills.
