Position Overview:
The role involves spearheading procurement initiatives and strategies for designated material categories, including passive and active electronic components, wiring, and electronic modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing procurement objectives and strategies for targeted material sectors.
- Evaluating cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to achieve them.
- Leading negotiations on pricing and contracts independently, ensuring agreements are finalized effectively.
- Performing shadow calculations to support decision-making.
- Enhancing the supplier portfolio through proactive development based on qualitative, commercial, and technical criteria.
- Continuously improving procurement pricing to align with market conditions.
- Serving as a primary contact for logistical or quality-related inquiries.
- Engaging in negotiations with assemblers and overseeing projects until they reach production readiness.
- Collaborating with external development service providers during negotiations.
- Conducting contract negotiations with new suppliers to establish beneficial partnerships.
- Monitoring the procurement landscape for serial products and generating internal market intelligence reports.
- Assisting the development team throughout the product creation process, offering guidance on component and supplier selection.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical training, complemented by further education to Technician/Master level in Electrical Engineering, along with strong business acumen or commercial training with a high technical affinity for electronic components.
- Extensive experience in the relevant field.
- Proficient in both German and English.
- Experience in the procurement of electronic components, including modules and supplier evaluation.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade effectively.
- Awareness of quality, deadlines, and cost management.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 10%).
