Technician for District Heating Systems (m/f/d)

As a vital member of our team at Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our district heating network. Your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Maintenance Operations: Conducting essential maintenance activities within the district heating infrastructure, such as draining shafts, cleaning valve spindles, and ensuring proper functioning of condensate drains.
  • Independent Task Execution: Carrying out minor switching operations autonomously.
  • Fault Identification: Detecting and rectifying malfunctions or damages within the heating pipe network.
  • System Preparation: Setting up circuits, including connecting mixing tanks, pumps, and compressors.
  • Leak Management: Sealing leaks in operational pipes effectively.
  • Valve Operations: Managing valve operations during system shutdowns.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining essential documentation such as monitoring protocols, work reports, and fault notifications.
  • Repair Work: Executing repair and replacement tasks on disassembled system components.
  • Installation Tasks: Installing and dismantling system components on-site, including pipelines and transfer stations.
  • System Commissioning: Commissioning systems in accordance with guidelines and connecting new systems using tapping methods.
  • Welding Expertise: Performing qualified welding tasks in compliance with EN standards, even under challenging conditions.
  • Condition Assessment: Inspecting pipes and fittings to ensure they are in optimal condition.
Your Qualifications
  • Completed vocational training as a plant mechanic specializing in sanitary, heating, and air conditioning technology, or as an electronics technician for industrial engineering, or as a pipe fitter with relevant process engineering knowledge.
  • Possession of a driver's license C1E (can be obtained later).
  • Exemplary customer service and orientation skills.
