Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Research Leader to lead our In Vitro PK group at Nuvisan GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assuming leadership for the In Vitro PK group, ensuring adequate training of staff, and coordinating work to achieve financial targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Assume leadership for the In Vitro PK group and associated laboratory unit
    • Ensure adequate training of staff to further develop capabilities and strengths
  • Project Coordination and Resource Management
    • Coordinate work to ensure optimal employment of resources and achieve financial targets
    • Ensure smooth and timely interaction with other groups
  • Scientific Advice and Client Management
    • Provide scientific advice to clients, particularly in the field of in vitro PK
    • Identify project issues and elaborate solutions with client's representatives and line management
  • Process Improvement and Innovation
    • Evaluate and implement new technologies, techniques, and skills in accordance with the site strategy
    • Ensure continuous improvement of processes
  • Communication and Representation
    • Author, edit, and review service estimates, reports, quality and/or strategic documents
    • Represent the function and scientific area outside of Nuvisan upon request
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • PhD in pharmacy, biochemistry, chemistry, or related fields with relevant DMPK experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech industry, or at CROs
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent understanding of in vitro ADME assays in the context of drug candidate selection and development towards clinical phase
    • Experience in leading teams with more than 5 direct reports
    • Profound knowledge of the drug discovery and development process and how DMPK studies contribute to that
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, both in English and German
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, high personal initiative
