Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at EWE TEL GmbH. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing managed security services to our business customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security platforms for our customers, including firewalls, VPN gateways, and DDoS protection.
  • Provide expert advice to internal and external customers on cyber security matters, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Operate and maintain our managed security services, including incident response and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure prompt response to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with our development team to implement automation and integration solutions to improve security processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience in IT security.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT security concepts, including network security, endpoint security, cloud security, and application security.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and VPNs.
  • Experience with automation and integration technologies, such as APIs and scripting languages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
