Fresenius Medical Care is looking for a dedicated Senior Process Engineer to enhance our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in refining production methodologies, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, and spearheading initiatives for ongoing improvements in our medical device manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and oversee fully automated production equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Direct process engineering functions for the production of medical devices and patient kits, from initial design through to large-scale manufacturing.
- Innovate and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth product transitions and validate processes.
- Champion continuous improvement projects, applying relevant methodologies and principles.
- Evaluate production metrics, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and execute solutions to boost process performance and yield.
- Create and uphold process documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and validation protocols.
- Lead efforts to troubleshoot process-related challenges and implement corrective measures.
- Engage in the selection, qualification, and technology transfer of equipment.
- Provide technical leadership to project teams.
- Review and approve concepts, specifications, and documentation pertinent to projects.
- Supervise the series production of assemblies, particularly focusing on disposables.
- Maintain technical master data within the system.
- Address quality issues through corrective and preventive actions, including fault analysis and documentation.
- Assist in the qualification and validation of both new and existing production processes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong drive, a positive attitude, and high energy levels. You should be a collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- A degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Manufacturing Technology, Medical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, process optimization, lean methodologies, and quality management systems.
- Over 5 years of professional experience as an engineer in the healthcare industry.
- Proven experience as a project manager for development and optimization initiatives.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing and development of medical devices is advantageous.
- Desirable background in Industrial Engineering and process optimization.
- Knowledge of project management and contemporary project planning techniques.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards and guidelines relevant to medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis, and manufacturing systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills in both German and English, written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel for project-related tasks.
