We are in search of a skilled Lead Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Golang to join our vibrant Global Bank division at SumUp. In this role, you will take charge of designing and developing a cohesive global platform, facilitating the shift towards a fully distributed, event-driven architecture.
Your Responsibilities
- Working alongside a global team to create a high-quality international platform
- Designing and upholding robust, event-driven systems
- Ensuring seamless system migration with no downtime for users
- Boosting test coverage and the end-to-end delivery of updates
- Fostering a culture of engineering excellence and best practices
Your Qualifications
- Proficient programming skills in Golang with an eagerness to explore other languages
- Experience in distributed, fault-tolerant system architectures
- Strong background in system design, data modeling, and API development
- Practical experience with Kafka, Postgres, and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- A commitment to writing clear, maintainable, and testable code
