Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Team Manager Europe to lead our cross-functional team in CMF design. The successful candidate will work closely with color & trim designers from various OEMs, understanding customer requirements and expectations to develop new leather products.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop holistic leather design concepts regarding color and enrichments (perforation, embossing, embroidery, quilting, printing, etc.)
- Translate concept ideas for enrichments into production-ready design drawings
- Manage day-to-day employee-related design activities
- Trend research and development of global design and trend presentations
- Bachelor's degree in CMF design, industrial design, graphic design, textile design, or related field
- At least 8-10 years of professional design experience, preferably in the field of mobility design
- 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership skills leading cross-functional teams and managing others within the design team
- Entrepreneurial spirit to lead a cross-functional team of design, product development, sales, and marketing to position Pangea for business success
- Strong research and design skills in materials and color integration, as well as the ability to identify color nuances and demonstrate color differences
- Fluency with MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as excellent presentation skills
- Experience and sensitivity to international work environments
- Well-organized, self-managed, and motivated creative with a passion for design
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Fluent communication skills in written and spoken German and English
