Senior Cable Test Lead

Job Summary
TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cable Test Lead to join our team. As a key member of our project engineering team, you will be responsible for the management of all testing equipment setups for projects in alignment with the subcontractor's provided items to complete Termination work scopes throughout all projects.
The Role
- Project Engineering Support: Provide early on support to project engineering teams by reviewing testing procedures or attending any trainings or mock-ups planned by project teams as well as assessment of subcontractor personnel's quality of good workmanship through trade tests.
- Document Checks: Completing internal document checks (IDC) of Electrical Engineering Procedures and Scope of Works as Cable Installation Delivery (CID).
- CID Input: CID Input into standards for Cable Testing activities together with Electrical Engineering.
- Process Improvement: Maintaining the LL process from Cable Testing Operations and feeding improvements back into cable installation processes.
- Training and Development: Arrange or attend training events and routine training for T&T supervisors and subcontractors.
- Test Equipment Management: Liaising with Projects on test equipment requirements and manage testing equipment arrangements via own and 3rd Party assets.
- Design Reviews: Participate in T&T design/scope reviews from projects and support technical queries for operations as CID.
- Site Training: At site training and support for offshore teams to facilitate site testing.
- Test Result Analysis: Assist with analysis of PD test results and complete PD assessment reports for test report completion.
Your Profile
- Technical Expertise: Detailed technical knowledge of Inter Array Grid Site Acceptance Testing (HV Cable & FO) Test activities and equipment for 33 and 66kV offshore windfarms.
- Test Experience: Experience of Test activities for OWF export cables greater or equal to 120k.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as HV Test Engineer in a similar offshore/onshore environment.
- Medium and High Voltage Experience: Previous experience working with Medium and High Voltage in a similar offshore/onshore environment.
- Termination Experience: Previous termination experience with 33kV and 66kV installations of termination products from different manufacturers (Pfisterer/TE/Nexans/NKT) and above.
- Electrical Competence: Electrical engineer or Electrical Competent/ Skilled Person as per BS7671, EN50110 or national equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Professional communicator with multiple stakeholders from management to operational level.
