Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Product Manager with a strong emphasis on foundational technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence our central software product stack comprehensively. You will collaborate within an international team, driving significant organizational impact across various data, visualization, and workflow applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement the product strategy and roadmap, fostering innovation while aligning with the overarching strategic objectives of the company.
  • Report directly to the Director of Product within the technology division, collaborating with agile teams dedicated to developing and managing cloud-based software products.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, discerning their needs and executing the product roadmap to deliver tangible business value.
  • Utilize a continuous discovery methodology to grasp user requirements, integrating feedback into product development to enhance satisfaction and maximize impact.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, establishing clear expectations regarding timelines and feasibility, ensuring reliable delivery from your team.
  • Cultivate trust with engineering, data, and UX teams by ensuring alignment between development and business values, while allowing for research, refactoring, security, scalability, and automation.
  • Engage hands-on in product and feature development, ensuring rapid learning and alignment with business requirements and customer needs.
  • Define essential business objectives, KPIs, and success metrics, monitoring and enhancing them continuously.
  • Conduct regular analysis of product metrics and performance, driving improvements based on both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Effectively navigate an agile environment, managing the product lifecycle and maintaining a clear, concise product roadmap.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitive dynamics to shape product strategy and anticipate customer needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product manager, with a proven history of successfully launching and scaling software products from inception to market, preferably within the advertising or media sectors.
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Previous experience as a platform product manager or with complex technical products.
  • Proficient in conducting product discovery with users.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM and agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships in a hybrid work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting trends and translating them into actionable insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategic mindset grounded in practicality - 'Envision the future, then create what is lacking' (P. Graham).
  • Ideally, over 1 year of experience with OKRs.
  • Professional background in software development, ideally holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in English (minimum C1) and German (minimum B2).
