Job Summary

OHB System AG is seeking a highly skilled System AIT Engineer to join our team in Oberpfaffenhofen. As a key member of our AIT team, you will be responsible for the overall technical AIT responsibility within a project across AIT disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the AIT manager in planning activities and define an AIT integration flow of a space element in line with project documentation.
  • Prepare, organize, and lead environmental test campaigns for space elements.
  • Manage materials and supplies for lab operations.
  • Develop concepts for test mechanical and thermal ground support equipment (MGSE) and ensure implementation of company AIT processes.
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines, including engineering, systems engineering, and product assurance.
  • Control technical coherence and consistency of AIT documents, setups, and approaches.
  • Support and implement standard reviews, such as IRR, TRR, PTR, and TRB, and participate in project reviews in coordination with the AIT manager.
  • Represent the AIT approach in reviews and during customer communication.
  • Ensure timely preparation and compilation of required AIT documents, such as AIT flows, plans, procedures, and test reports.
  • Conduct inspections, keep log-sheet records, and compile non-conformance and problem reports in cooperation with product assurance.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, physics, space technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in space projects, system engineering, or AIT.
  • Proven experience in space elements environmental test campaigns.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and take responsibility for tasks and work packages.
  • Well-developed communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to react to changes during project realization.
  • Inventive concerning AIT methods and testing.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, German language skills are a plus.
