About this Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ASIC DSP Architect to join our team in Rosenheim, Germany. As a key member of our Standards & Technology department, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and developing pioneering 5G and 6G mobile communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, low-power ASICs for future-generation radio products
- Research and explore novel signal processing concepts and compute architectures
- Develop and implement behavioral models of microarchitectures using System Verilog, C++, and MATLAB
- Design, synthesize, and simulate RTL and gate-level designs using Synopsys and Cadence tools
- Optimize design constraints and timing closure in collaboration with back-end experts
- Influence and advance our design methodology to improve our way-of-working
- Automate workflows using Python, TCL, and shell scripts
- Secure intellectual property rights
- Interface and coordinate with multi-functional groups throughout the Ericsson organization
- Coach and mentor junior team members and lead technical projects
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7+ years of professional experience in digital ASIC design, including a track record of delivering high-quality, high-performance, low-power signal processing implementations
- Proven experience in independently driving micro-architecture exploration activities for complex signal processing IP
- Solid background in digital signal processing
- Proficient understanding of ASIC technology and industry trends
- Ability to balance and rationalize design tradeoffs, especially in terms of performance, power, and area
- Strong proficiency in multiple areas of digital ASIC design flow, including concepts and architecture, behavioral modeling, RTL design and optimization, verification, synthesis, timing analysis, power analysis, CDC, RDC
- Excellent proficiency in hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog/System Verilog)
- Complementary experience in back-end design is beneficial
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Strong analytical skills and a structured work approach
