About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Sportradar, a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content. As a key member of our Sports Virtualisation unit, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative and disruptive technology to enable the transition from traditional sports media consumption to new ways to engage with sports.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and architecting backend systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and security. You will work closely with our international team of Java and C++ developers and designers to create engaging products using Unreal Engine 5.3 / 5.4 and Java backend technologies. Your expertise in object-oriented programming languages like Java or C++ will be essential in generalizing functionality into modules that can be reused in multiple / future sports virtualization products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect backend systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
  • Collaborate with the team to create engaging products using Unreal Engine 5.3 / 5.4 and Java backend technologies
  • Generalize functionality into modules that can be reused in multiple / future sports virtualization products
  • Develop new features together with the team using Java, C++ or other programming languages
  • Write, test, and maintain code following coding standards and best practices
  • Support and guide junior developers and non-developer members of the team
