Position Overview: Construction Trainee at STRABAG
- Throughout the two-year apprenticeship, you will gain expertise in the construction and enhancement of roadways, pathways, and public squares.
- You will develop proficiency in utilizing a variety of tools and construction machinery (such as jackhammers, compactors, and surveying instruments).
- Your responsibilities will include executing earthworks with construction equipment and ensuring the safety of excavation sites and trenches.
- You will learn the proper handling and application of construction materials (including asphalt, concrete, timber, and steel) as well as interpreting construction blueprints and diagrams.
- Important safety standards and operational procedures will be an integral part of your training.
- With commitment and enthusiasm, you can progress to the role of a road construction specialist after completing your training.
Candidate Profile
- You possess manual dexterity, a keen interest in technical subjects, and strong spatial awareness.
- A secondary school diploma or a commendable secondary school leaving certificate is required, with a preference for candidates who enjoy mathematics.
- A genuine interest in the construction sector and a passion for practical, outdoor work are essential.
- You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to team efforts.
- Reliability and attention to detail are crucial attributes in your work ethic.
- An internship experience with us would be advantageous.
